Custom Android app development

I build custom Android apps, including apps that talk to Bluetooth devices, sensors and controllers: from idea to publishing on Google Play. I work from Mionica, for clients in Valjevo, the Kolubara District and across Serbia.

What I do

  • Native Android apps in Java.
  • Connecting to Bluetooth devices, sensors and controllers.
  • Animation, graphics and sound, for apps with a strong visual impression.
  • Connecting the app to a server and an API.
  • Publishing on Google Play: account, description, images and updates.
  • Maintenance and adapting to new Android versions.

Where I work

My main area is the Kolubara District (Valjevo, Mionica, Ub, Lajkovac, Ljig, Osečina), but I work across Serbia. I meet clients in person when needed, wherever they are.

Technologies

I mostly build Android apps natively in Java. Where the project needs it I work in other technologies as well.

How we work

  1. A conversation: what the app should do, who will use it and which devices it talks to.
  2. A proposal and price up front, in writing.
  3. Development in stages: a test version on your phone, then additions.
  4. Launch and support: I help with the Google Play account and stay available for changes.

Why a native app

A native Android app has full access to phone features such as Bluetooth, sensors and notifications, and runs fast and stably. That matters when the app controls a device or works without internet.

I first build a minimal version you can try, then we extend it based on real use. That keeps cost and deadline under control.

From practice

My apps Arduino Commander (a Bluetooth controller for Arduino devices) and Torch (a flashlight with flame animation and sound effects) are published on Google Play.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an Android app cost?

The price is agreed per project and depends on the size and complexity of the application. Roughly it starts at about €500 for small applications (for example for IoT devices) and goes up to €10,000 and more, with larger platforms like Medicascan at the top of the range. You get a written offer up front, and the work is done in stages.

Can the app work with my device over Bluetooth?

In most cases yes. We need to know how the device communicates (protocol or documentation), and we check that in the first conversation.

Do you also build iOS apps?

My focus is Android. If you need iPhone as well, we agree that separately (sometimes a web application that works on all phones is a good solution).

Who publishes the app on Google Play?

It can be your account, with my help setting it up, so that the app stays in your name.
