Desktop application development in Valjevo and the surrounding area
I build custom desktop applications in Java (JavaFX): business tools, records and programs for working with files and devices. I work from Mionica, for clients in Valjevo, the Kolubara District and across Serbia.

Where I work
My main area is the Kolubara District (Valjevo, Mionica, Ub, Lajkovac, Ljig, Osečina), but I work across Serbia. I meet clients in person when needed, wherever they are.

I mostly build desktop applications in Java (JavaFX). Where the project needs it I work in other technologies as well.

- Development in stages: a first version you test on your own computer, then additions.
- Installation and support: I set the application up and stay available for changes.
When desktop is the right choice
A desktop application makes sense when it must work with large files, local devices or without a constant internet connection. Java applications run on Windows and Linux.
If the work later moves to the web, part of the code and knowledge carries over. That is exactly what happened with the Medicascan platform.

The Medicascan platform started in 2023 as a JavaFX desktop application and moved to the web a year later.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a desktop application cost?
The price is agreed per project and depends on the size and complexity of the application. Roughly it starts at about €500 for small applications (for example for IoT devices) and goes up to €10,000 and more, with larger platforms like Medicascan at the top of the range. You get a written offer up front, and the work is done in stages.
Desktop or web application, what do I need?
It depends on the work: the web is easier to access from several places, while desktop is better for local devices and large files. In the first conversation I suggest whichever suits you better.
Which systems does it run on?
Java applications run on Windows and Linux.
Do you provide maintenance?
Yes, maintenance and changes are agreed separately, with a clearly described scope.
